- Hi:
-
- I am looking for a CGI/HTML/C++(or other) Programming expert to create
- interactive forms and database search engine on my web site.
-
- The business success of this web site will depend on well this
- form/database engine works.
-
- In would like this web site to work primarily in this fashion:
-
- 1) The "Seller" comes to the homepage and can in put information to
- advertise his or her product. They will input the info from multiple drop
- lists and check boxes from which they can pick the year, model, brand, and
- price range they would like to sell their product for. They can also leave
- addtional information to be typed in, say about 200 to 300 words. The user
- then inputs contact information. The Seller then has payment options,
- leaving credit card information, or indicating payment by check/money
- order.
-
- 2) Once the Seller's form has been filled and validated, a product page is
- generated, and the info goes into a database as well. The seller receives
- confirmation that his product is now advcertised on the web site.
-
- 3) "Buyers" who come to the web site to look for such products would be
- able to use a search engine to look for the product with their specific
- criteria, ie year, model, brand, and price range. They would use multiple
- listings, check boxes, radio boxes, etc for the features they need in the
- product ( no typed input from the buyer required, so as to make the search
- engine idiot proof ). They submit the search, and the search engine returns
- a brief listing of all the products that were found within their search
- criteria. The Buyer can click on any of the products on the list, to see
- the full html page advertisement of the product.
-
- That's what I need, or close to it anyway. Can anyone do this for me? I can
- have the web site meet the neccessary criteria for this form/CGI/database
- search engine tool, ie required space, cgi bin directories, anything else
- that would be needed.
-
- If you are interested in tackling this project, let me know. We can work
- out an amenable payment plan.
-
- ...thanks
-
